Tara D. Scott
MD, FACOG, FAAFM, NCMP

Dr. Tara Scott graduated from Northeast Ohio University College of Medicine and completed her residency with Summa Health Systems at Akron City Hospital in Ohio. She is a member of Summa Physicians – Paragon, where she practices as a board certified OB/GYN. She is an Associate Clinical Professor at Northeast Ohio Medical University, where she teaches residents and is involved in clinical research.

Dr. Scott is a certified menopause practitioner with the North American Menopause Society and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She ¬first became involved with hormone and integrative medicine while practicing as an OB/GYN. Her empathy for patients experiencing hormone-related issues led her to become trained as an advanced fellow and certi¬fied by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. The evidence-based practices she employed helped many patients conquer chronic wellness issues. It soon became clear that a practice devoted strictly to evidence-based regenerative medicine, highly focused on hormone-related issues, was needed in the medical community. She then started Revitalize Medical Group, where she serves as the Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Scott is passionate about educating the medical community on the advances in evidence-based hormone therapy. She lectures around the community to raise awareness about wellness and hormone balance.

In her spare time, Dr. Scott enjoys doing triathlons and running races of all distances. She enjoys motivating others to participate in community races and helps them with their training. Tara and her husband have three busy children, and she is always in the front row of all of their musical performances, swim meets, and road races.

Miguel de la Garza
MD, DABA, DAPM

Dr. de la Garza is a board certified physician who practices multidisciplinary interventional pain management in four offices in the Tampa Bay area. He performs interventional pain procedures, specializing in minimally invasive surgical decompression of herniated discs and spinal stenosis, implantable intrathecal pumps, spinal cord stimulation, and peripheral nerve stimulation. Dr. de la Garza has published numerous research papers and abstracts, and has presented at regional and national academic conferences on the topics of anesthesia and pain medicine. He is also a consultant for numerous pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers.

Dr. de la Garza received a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Texas Lutheran College in Seguin, Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 2001 and performed his anesthesia residency at the University of South Florida College of Medicine, Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care from 2001 to 2005. He then completed an interventional pain medicine fellowship at The Cleveland Clinic, in the Department of Anesthesia and Pain Management.

Dr. de la Garza is a devoted husband and father to his wife and three children. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys scuba diving, ocean kayaking, fishing, hunting and hiking. He is an Eagle Scout, serves as a leader in Cub Scouts, coaches little league baseball, and brags about his children as often as he can!

Ken Speidel
RPh, BS Pharm, PharmD, FIACP, FACA

Dr. Ken Speidel is known for his experience in pharmacy practice and education, including his national recognition as a pharmacotherapeutic specialist in endocrinology and pain management, as well as his expertise in sterile and non-sterile compounding processes. He has been instrumental in the development of national standards for pharmacy compounding practices and provides consulting services to many organizations such as boards of pharmacy, hospitals, and health systems, both in the United States and abroad.

Concurrent with his worldwide consulting and educational work, Dr. Speidel recently retired as a Professor of Pharmacy Practice. He has also assisted in the development and facilitation of many nationally recognized ACPE educational programs. Moreover, Dr. Speidel was an advisor for the development of the Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB) and remains an active surveyor and accreditation expert for PCAB/ACHC (Accreditation Commission for Health Care). He has also served as president of the National Home Infusion Association (NHIA), as well as president of a large hospice program in the United States.

Dr. Speidel received a Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Pharmacy from Ohio Northern University. He has been awarded Fellowship status with the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists, as well as the American College of Apothecaries.

Ken is a second generation pharmacist and now has three generations of pharmacists in the family with the graduation and licensure of his son in 2014. Ken also established and managed the first home Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) patient in his state of Ohio in the United States many years ago.

MARK FILOSI
BS PHARM, RPH

Mr. Filosi is a compounding pharmacist for a thriving non-sterile and sterile practice with over 20 years of experience. He is also a surveyor for the Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB), a service of the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC). Additionally, Mr. Filosi is the owner of Family Care Pharmacy in Plant City, Florida, where he is responsible for the sales and marketing of the compounding segment of his business. His compounding practice ranges from non-sterile hormone preparations to high-risk intrathecal preparations.

He graduated cum laude from Fitchburg State College in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, and then went on to graduate cum laude in Pharmacy from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Boston, Massachusetts. Today, Mr. Filosi is a preceptor for Florida A & M University, University of Florida and Massachusetts College of Pharmacy.

In his free time, Mr. Filosi enjoys horseback riding with his daughter and being a scoutmaster for his son’s troop.

JOE CABALEIRO
BS Pharm, RPh

Mr. Cabaleiro is the former Associate Director of Pharmacy for the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC); responsible for the development of compounding quality standards. He is also the former Executive Director for the Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB), and a former surveyor for the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). In addition, Mr. Cabaleiro has served on the United States Pharmacopeia’s Council of the Convention.

A pharmacist for more than 30 years, Mr. Cabaleiro is a nationally recognized expert in non-sterile and sterile compounding, pharmacy quality, accreditation standards, and compounding pharmacy management and operations. Mr. Cabaleiro began his career in home-infusion therapy as pharmacy manager. In 1982, he developed an innovative compounding computer system used nationwide that combined a notebook computer, barcode reader, and electronic balance to permit the safe preparation of complex total parenteral nutrition solutions. He served multiple facilities in the roles of operations and general management during this period of his professional career.

In 1989, Mr. Cabaleiro founded and led a compounding pharmacy, catering to both human and veterinary patients in Cary, North Carolina. During his ownership of the pharmacy, he helped establish the Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB) and served on various committees that developed industry standards. His pharmacy was among the first to receive PCAB accreditation. After selling the pharmacy, Mr. Cabaleiro joined PCAB during the organization’s most dynamic period of growth.

Mr. Cabaleiro received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Florida. He has served as an adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina, and has written numerous articles in professional journals, as well as policy and procedure manuals for home-infusion and compounding pharmacies.

Kenneth Latta
BS Pharm, RPh, FIACP, FACA

Mr. Latta received his Bachelor’s in Pharmacy from the University of North Carolina. Following graduation, he joined the Duke University Medical Center as Staff Pharmacist. Mr. Latta held this position for over a decade, before becoming Lead Pharmacist at the Acute Pain Service at the medical center. During this time, he served on several national committees with the American Pain Society and took part in several pain initiatives.

In 2000, Mr. Latta became Manager of the Duke Compounding Facility, where his many accomplishments included the design, construction, and launch of a standard-setting compounding facility. Mr. Latta retired from Duke University Medical Center in 2013 to pursue teaching, consulting, and working with accreditation organizations to further the practice of pharmacy.

Mr. Latta is currently a Senior Associate for Gates Healthcare Associates, Inc., a Senior Associate with Visante Inc., Visante UK, and a consultant to the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy. He is also Vice President of Design and Regulatory Compliance for ProPharma Cleanrooms, Inc. Mr. Latta is a nationally recognized expert in pharmacy compounding, clean room design, process control, validation, and pain management. He has written and taught extensively on these topics.

Mr. Latta is involved with the Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB) and is also a member of the Standards Committee. He recently completed the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) surveyor training to become an ACHC Certified Consultant.

In his free time, Mr. Latta is an Assistant Scout Master and enjoys taking his son on fun treks into the border lake regions between Minnesota and Canada!

Quinton Didyk
BSc, BS Pharm, RPEBC

Mr. Didyk graduated from the University of Manitoba Faculty of Pharmacy in 2002 and immediately went to work as a Pharmacy Services Specialist for the Western Canada division of a national pharmacy provider. Mr. Didyk gained early experience in community pharmacy practice, and in 2005 his career evolved into the ownership and management of community health services. He developed health centres in the Winnipeg area that provided primary and ancillary healthcare services all under one roof. These clinics were pioneers in establishing solid patient outcomes through the use of electronic medical records. His efforts were noted in 2006 when he received the Young Leader in Pharmacy award from the Manitoba Society of Pharmacists.

Mr. Didyk has been a facilitator for sterile and non-sterile compounding programs since 2008. His skills and expertise in compounding have made him nationally recognized as an expert in his field. He owns and operates the largest compounding-only facility in Manitoba that delivers specialized patient specific healthcare on a daily basis. In 2015, Mr. Didyk expanded his scope by becoming a surveyor for the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC).

Christine Roussel
PharmD, BCOP

Dr. Roussel, an expert in hazardous compounding, is a board certified oncology pharmacist, and currently serves as adjunct professor at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. Dr. Roussel received her Bachelor of Science in Toxicology and her Doctorate in Pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy at the University of the Sciences. She is currently an active member of the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP), the American Pharmacist Association (APhA), and the Hematology Oncology Pharmacists Association (HOPA).

In addition to pursuing her goal of educating the world about the danger of carcinogens, she is also a dedicated mother, Cub Scout leader, and enjoys teaching her kids about engineering, often in the form of marshmallow propulsion devices and rocket building!

JEFFERY A. JOHNSON
BS PHARM, PHARMD, MBA, RPH, ND

Dr. Jeffery A. Johnson is a 30-year veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, having gained extensive experience in a wide array of pharmaceutical care provision, both from military treatment facilities as well as his early work within community-based and hospital-based ambulatory care. His love for pharmaceutical compounding (both sterile and non-sterile processes) began during his tenure as an undergrad. His most recent adventures in compounding have been focused upon reviving the appropriate and proper application of well-documented, specialty compounding practices within the area of operations (both hard-structure as well as field-environment techniques for military treatment facilities).

Dr. Johnson received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Purdue University’s School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (1978). He then earned his Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Kansas, School of Pharmacy (2003). Between his BS Pharm and PharmD programs, Dr. Johnson also picked up a PhD in Naturology/Herbal Medicine (1998), becoming a Board Certified Naturopathic doctor (2008). He also bolstered his business savvy by earning an MBA (1995). Throughout his 38-year career as a pharmaceutical care provider, he has continued to strive to hone his compounding skills to a fine edge.

ZARA ROUSE
PHARMD

Dr. Rouse is a clinical staff pharmacist at UF Health Shands Hospital, where she started out by compounding both simplistic and complicated sterile and non-sterile formulations. She has since transitioned into the pediatrics department, where she utilizes her compounding knowledge to aid doctors and other health care professionals. Additionally, Dr. Rouse is an assistant professor at the University Of Florida College Of Pharmacy, where she teaches second and fourth year students.

During her leisure time, Dr. Rouse mentors high school and college students, sings in a choir and spends as much time as possible traveling and enjoying time with her husband and daughter.

Roberto Conte
BS Pharm, RPh

Mr. Conte has been a compounding pharmacist since graduating from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of British Columbia in 2004. As the manager of Northmount Pharmacy and Compounding Lab in North Vancouver, his practice is involved in a wide range of compounding niches, with a focus on hormone restoration therapy and veterinary medicine. Additionally, Mr. Conte is involved in mentoring pharmacy students as a registered preceptor with his alma mater.

When not at work, you can find Mr. Conte at a soccer or baseball field with his wife and two boys.

David Mastropietro
PhD, RPh

Dr. Mastropietro is an assistant professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Nova Southeastern University, as well as a pharmacist with over 15 years of experience practicing in a number of diverse settings. His academic role involves teaching the art of pharmacy compounding and the science of formulation development using classroom and laboratory instructional methodologies that enhance the learning environment. In addition to teaching, his collaborative research activities in pharmaceutics have so far led to 6 patent applications, 5 invention disclosures, 19 publications, 51 presentations, and 2 book chapters.

Outside of work, you may find Dr. Mastropietro practicing his magic and other sleight-of-hand feats, which he enjoys performing for family and friends!

Bal Dhillon
BSc, PTCB

Ms. Dhillon is a registered pharmacy technician for sterile and non-sterile practice with over 20 years’ experience. She has a strong educational background that includes a Bachelor’s degree from Simon Fraser University, an Associate degree from Douglas College, and a Provincial Instructor diploma from the province of British Columbia. She has extensive experience working in both the hospital and retail pharmacy sectors, as well as experience in pharmacy technician curriculum development and delivery.

She currently holds the position of Manager at the Pharmacy Drug Distribution Centre for Lower Mainland Pharmacy Services. In this role, Ms. Dhillon is responsible for leading and coordinating the pharmacy operations at the assigned lower mainland Pharmacy Production Centre, including managing resources, organizing workflow and maintaining quality assurance for a safe medication distribution system.

In her spare time, Ms. Dhillon is passionate about volunteering on various committees such as the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia, Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada, Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs, Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists, and the Pharmacy Technician Society of British Columbia.

Michael Shafor
PharmD, RPh

Dr. Shafor, a fourth generation pharmacist, grew up working at his family’s independent retail pharmacies in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area. After earning his Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University’s Pharmacy program, Dr. Shafor left his family’s retail pharmacy chain to embark on a career as a sterile compounding pharmacist.

Dr. Shafor has spent the last 10 years building and managing multiple sterile and non-sterile compounding pharmacies. He has built two sterile labs and a non-sterile retail pharmacy from the ground up and has managed everything from a home infusion pharmacy to the pharmaceutical accounts for the Miami Dolphins, Florida Marlins, Miami Heat and Florida Panthers.

Dr. Shafor is currently the Director of Quality Control at Oncology Plus, an ACHC-accredited closed-door hazardous compounding pharmacy in Tampa Florida. Within this role, Dr. Shafor specializes in dispensing chemotherapy and other hazardous infusions, injections, and ophthalmic preparations to hospitals and clinics throughout Florida.

In his personal time, Dr. Shafor is an avid fisherman, as well as a fan of the NFL’s Miami Dolphins!

Mindy Cormier
RPh, PharmD

Dr. Cormier is a pharmacist with over 12 years of experience in retail management, as well as compounding of both non-sterile and sterile preparations. Her areas of expertise include hormone replacement therapy, pain management, anti-aging, weight management and nutrition, adrenal fatigue, and consultation services. Currently, Dr. Cormier is a compounding pharmacist and consultant for Medisca Network’s Technical Support Services Department. Additionally, she manages operations of LP3 Network’s Non-Sterile and Sterile Compounding courses, held at the University of Southern California.

In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and enjoys cooking and baking. Dr. Cormier is a fan of all Boston sports teams and is also a supporter of a number of charitable organizations such as Project Teddy, Beagle Freedom Project, and Animal Rescue Media and Education (ARME).

Vanessa Pinheiro
BS Pharm, MSc, RPh

Mrs. Pinheiro is a compounding pharmacist with over 15 years of experience, and was previously a professor at the College of Pharmacy at the University Suprema in Brazil. Additionally, she is the owner of RX Pharmaceutica and Petfarma Pharmacies in Brazil, for which she was responsible for compounding, quality control of raw-materials and final products, training pharmacists and technicians, and counseling patients. Mrs. Pinheiro is a Surveyor and Standards Committee member of ANFARMAG in Brazil and has specialty training in non-sterile compounding, pharmaceutical technology, cosmetology, and veterinary compounding, where she has authored a veterinary formulary book.

Outside of work, Mrs. Pinheiro enjoys various physical exercises, learning different languages, reading, traveling, and feels passionate about animals.

Lauren Forsythe
PharmD, FSVHP

Dr. Forsythe is a veterinary pharmacist at the University of California – Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. Dr. Forsythe grew up in western Pennsylvania as the daughter of two veterinarians and completed her doctor of pharmacy degree at the University of Findlay, College of Pharmacy in May 2015. Dr. Forsythe then went on to complete a residency in veterinary pharmacy at the Purdue Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Forsythe started a position with the UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. Dr. Forsythe’s research interests include behavioral therapy in cats and safety and efficacy of compounded products in veterinary patients. Dr. Forsythe also enjoys teaching both pharmacists and veterinarians and is active in providing continuing education through a variety of avenues, as well as working with students of both professions. Dr. Forsythe is also an associate editor of Plumb’s Veterinary Drug Handbook.

MARLENE ABOUASSALY
BSC

Mrs. Abouassaly is a facilitator for LP3 Network's French Technician and Non-Sterile Training programs, as well as the supervisor for Medisca Network's Technical Support Services Department. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, a Certificate in Gerontology, and 11 years of experience as a certified pharmacy lab technician. This extensive experience provides Mrs. Abouassaly with the confidence and expertise required to provide the highest quality pharmacy compounding assistance to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

On a personal note, Mrs. Abouassaly is a world traveler who always makes it a point to try at least one piece of local chocolate from each place she travels; this has earned her the reputation as the office chocoholic!

DANIEL GUÉRIN
MSC

Mr. Guérin has worked in the formulation field for more than 15 years. He began working on research and development for enteric coated solid dosage forms to meet required probiotic levels within the food supplement industry. In 2005, Mr. Guérin joined Medisca as a formulation chemist in the Technical Support Services Department and has since developed over 2,800 formulas. In addition to his Master’s degree in Science, Mr. Guérin has a strong background in microbiology and this knowledge proves useful as it allows him to assist our clients with potential contamination issues involved in sterile compounding.

In his personal time, Mr. Guérin is passionate about three things: cars, cars, and cars!

RAMAN SIDHU
BSC

Ms. Sidhu graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology. She takes on numerous roles at LP3 Network, including attending tradeshows and managing inventory, as well as being a facilitator for the LP3 Network Non-Sterile Training. Ms. Sidhu is also currently part of the Medisca Network team, where her attention to detail allows her to flourish in her role as a Technical Support Services Representative.

On a lighter note, Ms. Sidhu’s flair and passion for all things hair, makeup, and shoes will keep you up-to-date with all the current trends!

KRISTINA KRYGIER
MSC

Ms. Krygier joined LP3 Network as a facilitator for continuing education programs specializing in non-sterile pharmaceutical compounding. She has a Master’s degree from McGill University and is currently a Junior Formulation Chemist at Medisca Network, where she provides compounding support to pharmacists and technicians.

In her free time, Ms. Krygier loves to travel and spend time with her family and friends.

MAURIZIO DE STEFANO
General Manager

Maurizio serves as the General Manager of LP3 Network and brings over 14 years of experience from within the pharmaceutical industry. His professional experience stems from field work in genomics, regulatory affairs and, most recently, his nine years in the field of pharmaceutical compounding. His most recent efforts in pharmaceutical compounding has seen him diversify his responsibilities in areas such as technical support services - formulation chemistry, product development, continuing education, sales & marketing, operations, logistics and facility design. His Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, coupled with a minor in Pharmacology and Therapeutics, drives his passion to continually work towards his ultimate goal of improving patient care.

In his spare time, he enjoys both downhill skiing, swimming and keeping in touch with changes and advances in the healthcare field.

JENNIFER YAGHMOUR

Jennifer has been providing leadership to successful sales teams for the past decade. Leading by example with passion, dedication, and inspiration, Jennifer has motivated her Account Executives to constantly strive and surpass their goals. With experience in business development, relationship building, and international travels, she is constantly building her network to ensure that she provides excellent service to her customers. Jennifer is certain to make an impression when you meet her – not only because she sold you on a great program offering, but also because she is always dressed to impress with her perfectly planned outfits!

NEIL COHEN

Neil graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Concordia University in 1985, and has since worked alongside medical and allied health professionals in the fields of rehabilitation and workers’ compensation medical services. Serving the compounding pharmacy community for the past 15 years, Neil is responsible for the development, design, and implementation of LP3 Network’s training programs.

In his free time, Neil’s special interests include photography and astronomy.

Daphnee contributes to LP3 Network’s management of educational programs and strives to provide each learner with a high-quality experience. During her academic career, Daphnee completed her Master’s degree in Neuroscience at McGill University and has since enjoyed her professional transition to an educational role in order to pursue her true passion: sharing her knowledge of science.

In her spare time, Daphnee enjoys renovating her home and playing ringette – a sport created in 1963 in Ontario, Canada for those who didn’t know!

Peter is a passionate and results oriented individual who enjoys building relationships with clients. He developed this passion during his time at Concordia University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in International Business. In addition to his strong academic background, Peter has ten years of experience in the customer service sector, further expanding his knowledge of the field. Peter is always eager to help individuals who are new to the world of pharmaceutical compounding or those looking for a refreshing take on the industry.

In his spare time, Peter is passionate about music and fitness.

SHAUNA BRIDGMAN
Administrative Associate

Shauna handles all administrative tasks for LP3 Network and assists in the organization of trainings and seminars, ensuring a smooth program and a great customer experience. Shauna is a true team player and is always willing to assist with any task. Her efficiency and commitment to detail form a huge part in her overall work ethic and ability to get things done right the first time.

Shauna is an amateur artist and she loves music and animals.

ADAM BEACH

Adam is responsible for researching and developing scientific content for continuing education programs at LP3 Network. With great attention to detail, he is happy to edit any and all documents sent his way. He completed his PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology at Concordia University, focusing on the role of mitochondria in aging. He enjoys sharing his love of science and discovery with anyone interested!

In his downtime, Adam is an avid traveler and anime enthusiast.

Ian is the Graphic Designer for LP3 Network. Passionate about all aspects of design, Ian is constantly updating his skills to provide LP3 Network with a cutting edge experience for healthcare professionals. In addition to his design work, Ian also assists in the production of LP3 Network’s photography and videography projects and stays up-to-date on the latest software and hardware advancements.

In his spare time, Ian loves modifying cars and designing lifestyle apparel, but his favorite activity is spending time with his family.

SHANNON BELLEVUE

Shannon completed her bachelor's degree in Behavioral Neuroscience at Concordia University, where she studied the epigenetic regulations underlying the neurochemical changes associated with attachment and bonding. Following this, Ms. Bellevue decided to pursue a master’s degree in Neuroscience at Carleton University, where she specialized her research in the neural mechanisms and pharmaceutical treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. During this time, she acquired specialized knowledge in cellular physiology and gained valuable skills in laboratory research, scientific writing, and teaching. Throughout the course of her academic career, Ms. Bellevue became passionate about the necessity for personalized healthcare. In pursuit of this passion, she has since acquired a position at LP3 Network, where she provides expert knowledge on the implications of compounded pharmaceuticals in customized medicine.

In her spare time, Shannon takes a break from the sciences and dabbles in the art of painting and drawing.

DANIEL LOEB
E-Learning Specialist
MA

Dan is our E-Learning Specialist; developing interactive learning programs in support of continuing education at LP3 Network. He holds a Master in Information Systems from Central Queensland University, Australia and a Master of Music from the Stuttgart Academy of Music, Germany. He taught music and advanced programming courses in international schools across Asia before settling in the role of teacher and trainer in the use of technology in education. He is passionate about improving the transfer of knowledge and transforming learning into a productive and enjoyable experience.

Outside of the office, Dan can often be seen on his bicycle, in the garden, or exploring the natural world on foot.

VICTORIA POMPA
